In an effort to document properties that have significant architectural and historic characteristics the Historic Preservation Advisory Board (HPAB) of the City of Rockwall directed staff to catalog properties situated within the Historic Overlay District for the purpose of creating a database accessible to the public. The surveys used in this process provide information regarding architectural characteristics, the history of the property, and the contributing status of the property. These surveys will assist the HPAB in future decision making relating to properties in the district.
