TEXAS PARKS & WILDLIFE STOCK TROUT
IN HARRY MYERS PARK

2,000 rainbow trout are being stocked in Harry Myers Park in February 2023.

The Teaxs Parks & Wildlife Department will stock the two small points at Harry Myers Park with the intention of the trout being harvested (kept and eaten) although catch and release is allowed.

If you are over the age of 17, you do need a fishing license. You will also need to pay attention to bag and size limits for trout.

Some things to know if you're going fishing for trout in Harry Myers Park:

WHAT TO CATCH

Teaxs Parks & Wildelife stocks fish big enough to catch and keep.

RAINBOW TROUT

Suggested bait to catch a rainbow trout: Cheese, kernel corn, night crawlers, red wigglers, and meal worms make grood trout baits. If you'd rather use a lure, try a small inline spinner bait, spoon or rooster tail.
