Founder's Day

Founder's Day is exactly that: We're celebrating the founding of Rockwall in 1854.

The area that is now Rockwall was occupied in the early 1800s by the Caddo and Creek Indian tribes.

Concert By The Lake Series

7:30pm at The Harbor

All concerts are FREE and begin at 7:30 pm at The Harbor! Bring a blanket or your lawn chairs and enjoy great music and a great view of beautiful Lake Ray Hubbard at Sunset! Concerts are held at The Harbor Amphitheatre located directly behind the Hilton Hotel!

May 19th – Make a Clean Sweep at the Founders Day Festival
Tasks: Litter control, vendor set-up, vendor tear-down
Location: Historic Downtown Square (101 E Rusk) – Meet at the Parks and Recreation booth!
Time: 8 am

June 16th – Lofland Park Train, Paint & Stain Day
Tasks: playground repairs, installing fall zone mulch, painting and staining the train
Location: Lofland Park (407 Kernodle)
Time: 9 am

June 16th – Invasive Species Removal Day – Blackland Prairie Restoration
Tasks: Remove non-native plant species
Location: Harry Myers Community Park, Historic Museum (901 E Washington)
Time: 9 am

July 21st – Squabble Creek Mountain Bike Trail Work Day
Tasks: clear trail & litter control
Location: Squabble Creek Mountain Bike Trail (2201 N. Lakeshore Dr.)
